This past weekend Firefighter Kyle Wick represented the Minquas Fire Company No.2 and the Downingtown Fire Department in the Firefighter Challenge Championship Series held in Exton. Firefighter Wick has been training for this event the past few months and was one of three firefighters from Chester County to participate in the event.
In addition to training for the event he also continues to be our most active volunteer while also working a full-time job and being a dad and husband. His dedication to the fire service and his family, perseverance, drive, professionalism, and strong moral character are an inspiration to all our younger and older members. Simply put Kyle is the best of the best.
Congratulations on your achievements throughout the weekend. You made your fire company, family, friends, and community proud of you. Below is a video of Kyle's heat from Saturday. He shaved 11 seconds off his initial qualifying time. This is considered the toughest 2-3 minutes in sports. |
