On Friday, February 9, 2024 at 9:34am the Downingtown Fire Department and surrounding mutual aid were dispatched to a reported structure fire in Downingtown Borough. Engine 46-1, Tower 45 (Alert Fire Company No.1), and MICU 46 made the initial response. Upon arrival crews found fire along the outside of the house. Engine 46-1 stretched a hoseline to begin fire attack with assistance from personnel on MICU 46. Tower 45 and Engine 38 (Thorndale Fire Company) checked for extension into the house and secured a water supply to Engine 46-1. All other incoming units were recalled after the fire was quickly placed under control.
