This evening two of our members graduated from the Fall 2024 Chester County Public Safety Training Campus Firefighter I Program. This intensive 188-hour program teaches candidates the basics of firefighting. Candidates spent nights and weekends learning fire attack, ladder raises, ventilation, victim searches, CPR/AED and First Aid, Narcan administration, ropes and knots, and many more topics.

In order to test for Firefighter I ProBoard all candidates must successfully complete all the testing and skill stations during the academy. Afterwards candidates take a written exam and complete skill stations that are evaluated by instructors. If a candidate completes both they will be certified to the ProBoard Firefighter I level.

Congratulations to Probationary Firefighter’s Shail Shetye and Sophia Worley on graduating this class. We are eagerly awaiting your testing results. You each have put the time in and should feel proud of this accomplishment. This is just the beginning of your training. We look forward to you serving the Good
