Just after 4:30am the Downingtown Fire Department and surrounding mutual aid were dispatched to a house fire in the Johnsontown section of Downingtown Borough. Initial reports indicated a fire on the second floor of the residence. Engine 46-2 and Tower 45 (Alert Fire Company No.1) arrived first and began fire attack and ventilation. Mutual aid units provided support to the interior fire attack team and ventilation team. The fire was quickly brought under control and held to the single unit.
